New year, new goals!
At the start of 2021 I started off with a brand new adventure: coding websites via SheCodes. "Coding, but you're a lawyer?" Yes absolutely, something completely different and that's exactly what I wanted! The legal field never really felt like my 'world'.
As a child I always loved mathematics and making puzzles. That's how I came up with the idea to start coding and I absolutely love it!
Lawyer
In 2014 I obtained my Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from Maastricht University (NL) European Law School. In 2016 I obtained my Master of Laws (LLM) in Maritime & transport Law at Rotterdam University (NL). I worked as a company lawyer for several years and mainly focussed on corporate, transport and privacy law.
Interests
I absolutely love cycling, yoga, gardening, sailing, hanging out with friends, travelling and my awesome cat Karel. My newest hobby of course is coding!
Voluntary work
In 2011 I volunteered in a remote rural area in Cambodia where I helped out in a hospital and taught English at several primary schools.
In 2018 I cycled 9000 kilometeres through Europe in order to raise money for The Ocean Cleanup.
